House Fire in Odesa Region: Two Injured During Extinguishing Efforts
A fire ignited on the roof of a residential building in the Odesa region. Two individuals attempting to extinguish the fire sustained burns to their faces and hands and were hospitalized. The emergency services provided this information.
The incident occurred yesterday, July 5, in the Izmail district. In the village of Stari Troiany on Shkilna Street, the roof of a residential building and an outbuilding caught fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, covering an area of 60 square meters.
"Unfortunately, during the attempt to extinguish the fire independently, a man born in 1959 and a woman born in 1954 suffered burns. Both were hospitalized in moderate condition. The cause of the fire and the damage are being determined. One unit of equipment and three firefighters were involved from the emergency services, along with one unit of equipment and two personnel from the local fire team," the statement read.
