New Inclusive Beach in Odesa: Comfort for Everyone
A new inclusive beach has been launched at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa, adhering to modern accessibility and ecological standards.
The official opening of this municipal beach, which received the «AЄS Standard» certificate, took place on July 1.
The renovated beach serves as a model of inclusive infrastructure. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of city authorities, experts, and builders, the project was completed in a short timeframe.
The beach features special ramps, contemporary restrooms, and showers designed for individuals with disabilities. It also includes a medical station and shelter. Moreover, after renovation, the inclusive beach offers convenient pathways and accessible infrastructure elements, verified by experts.
Attendees at the beach opening included military veterans, individuals with disabilities, families with children, and elderly residents.
«Today, residents can see that the updated beach has been created with care and attention to everyone. We will continue to work systematically to improve accessibility and develop barrier-free environments, especially along the Odesa coastline,» emphasized Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Recently, an inclusive multisport playground was also opened at the «Dolphin» beach.
