New Blood Donation Initiative: Stamp "Chance for Life"

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, "Ukrposhta" has introduced a new stamp titled "Chance for Life", dedicated to all those who donate blood, medical workers, and volunteers.

"Together with the DonorUA project, we want to highlight: you are the ones who keep hearts beating," the company's press service stated.

"Ukrposhta" also reminded that during the first week of the full-scale invasion, 25 thousand new donors joined the DonorUA platform, and since 2022, the database has increased fivefold to 200 thousand individuals.

"In the third year of the large-scale war, when every drop matters, the demand for donors remains high. Blood saves the lives of injured soldiers, civilians affected by shelling, women in complicated childbirth, cancer patients, and those with severe burns. Sometimes it is the only hope," the company added.

The new stamp "Chance for Life" is called a symbol of "a drop that becomes a sea, and kindness that turns into a chance."

"This is our gratitude and an important reminder: your drop of blood is someone’s future. If you have the desire and good health – join us! Becoming a donor is simple, and it provides a chance for life," said the CEO of "Ukrposhta", Ihor Smiliansky.

The stamp features a couple holding a heart and filling it with blood. The artwork was created by Ukrainian artist Liza Markina.

"The shortage of donor blood existed in Ukraine even before the full-scale war, and today this issue is more pressing than ever. Despite all the advances in medicine, full substitutes for blood still do not exist. Only we can share it with those who need it," emphasized DonorUA co-founder Iryna Slavyinska.

The print run of the new postage stamp is 150 thousand copies, the "First Day" envelopes total 20 thousand, and presentation folders number 500 units.

The "Chance for Life" stamp can be purchased at "Ukrposhta" branches and on the company’s website.
