Alert: Fraudulent Emails Impersonating the NBU
The National Bank of Ukraine has reported a new fraudulent scheme involving the distribution of emails that contain malicious attachments and impersonate official communications from the NBU.
The NBU press service noted that the perpetrators are sending emails from various addresses but sign them with a fake email: nbu@gov.nbu.ua, resembling the real domain of the National Bank.
The NBU urges the public not to open attachments contained in such emails and to avoid clicking on any links provided.
It is also emphasized that NBU employees only use the official corporate email with the domain @bank.gov.ua for electronic correspondence.
