Enhancing Public Transport Stops in Odessa
The municipal enterprise «City Roads» oversees 1012 public transport stops in the city.
Specialists regularly carry out sanitation cleaning of the surrounding area, repair and restore bins, benches, and pavilions, as well as wash and paint them.
Since the beginning of the year, the enterprise has replaced glass walls at stops covering nearly 163 sq.m. Additionally, roofs have been repaired at 17 stops and benches at 37. Repairs have been made to 91 waste bins, with 99 stops and 512 bins painted.
Unfortunately, the issue of vandalism remains a significant problem. Almost daily, vandals leave graffiti, break benches, tear out bins along with concrete, and smash the glass walls of the stops. Stops are also damaged due to traffic accidents.
The Odessa City Council once again calls on residents and visitors to treat city property with care. Intentional damage to municipal property can lead to criminal liability.
