Daily Efforts of Municipal Services in Odessa
Every day, around 1200 municipal workers are engaged in enhancing the cleanliness of designated areas. They clean the streets both manually and with specialized equipment, maintaining urban communications in proper technical and sanitary condition while caring for green spaces.
In addition to daily cleaning tasks, municipal staff carry out planned maintenance and repair work on the city's stormwater drainage systems and important hydraulic structures like buffer ponds and canals.
Starting in the spring, as favorable weather sets in until autumn, workers clean monuments that are not part of the cultural heritage, performing necessary repairs and painting as needed.
As the fountain season approaches, specialists carry out work to unpack and set up the equipment.
Groundskeepers perform trimming of roses, shrubs, and trees, seed lawns, and tidy up flower beds.
Odessa's cemeteries are maintained in a proper sanitary condition, with workers clearing away last year's leaves, underbrush, and removing trash.
Daily cleaning operations are also conducted in yard areas. Municipal staff clear illegal dumps and tidy up abandoned and communal areas.
