Heating Season Preparations in Odesa
The heating season in Odesa is set to begin soon. Experts from the municipal utility «Housing and Communal Services» are diligently preparing the central heating systems to ensure a cozy environment for the winter months.
Following the end of the last heating season in spring 2024, the utility started work to prepare for the 2024-2025 heating season.
As part of the preparations, specialists are conducting maintenance and inspections of heating installations, including verification and adjustment of energy accounting and regulation systems, as well as addressing issues identified in hydraulic and thermal modes.
The utility's workers are also flushing equipment, pipelines, and heating systems, restoring thermal insulation, and checking the sealing of engineering inputs.
Experts have carried out hydraulic tests of the centralized heating systems, adjusted the heating networks, and completed a series of necessary tasks for the uninterrupted operation of the heating systems.
After the maintenance work, the systems will be filled with chemically purified water at a pressure exceeding static pressure by 0.5 kg/cm², while the inlet valves will be closed.
At the start of the heating season, utility plumbers will sequentially open the valves of the central heating systems in the buildings, which may take some time, after which warmth will begin to flow into residents' homes.
