Winter Equipment Upgrades in Odesa
Odesa is currently undergoing upgrades to its winter equipment for municipal enterprises. This year, the Municipal Roads company has acquired new PRONAR SPT40 spreaders, significantly improving street maintenance in winter.
This equipment is designed for treating the city's street network and can be operated with trucks that have a payload capacity of over 10 tons.
The new spreaders are equipped with a capacity control system that allows for increased treatment volume. Parameters and brine activation can be managed from the driver's cabin using a modern control panel.
The spreader is powered by a two-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and can be started remotely.
The components of the spreading system are made of stainless steel, ensuring a long service life.
Compared to the outdated equipment previously used, the new spreaders allow for precise adjustment of spreading density, program changes, and have a wider spreading width.
The company currently has 61 units of winter equipment, including the new spreaders.
Most of the equipment has been in use for over 10 years, while the recommended lifespan is 5 years.
Municipal experts maintain the equipment's satisfactory technical condition, and preparations for the winter season are currently underway.
