Update on Reconstruction Efforts in Odesa

The mayor of Odesa held an on-site meeting to discuss the status of reconstruction work at a building partially destroyed during a Russian attack on March 2.

«Everyone who applied for the eRecovery program has received compensation for repairs or a certificate for purchasing housing. The work is progressing slower than desired due to the lengthy construction procedures. I am grateful to our partners, especially charitable organizations, for their support,» said Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The mayor expressed gratitude to the charity funds "Reach for the Sky," "Morning of Revival," the organization "April Tenth," and UNHCR for their ongoing support and provision of construction materials.

The work is being carried out by the management company "Clever" under the coordination of the mayor's advisor on humanitarian issues, Veronika Etnarovych.

Currently, tons of debris have been removed from the apartments. The roof over the last entrance and the entrance itself from the first to the ninth floor has been repaired.

Additionally, landscaping has been completed at the site of the impact, where people continue to bring flowers. On March 2, 2024, twelve people lost their lives here due to the Russian attack, including five children.
