Restoration of the Residential Building in Odesa Following Missile Strike
At 24 Serednia Street, building 4 in Odesa, the restoration of a multi-apartment residential building has begun after being damaged by a Russian missile strike.
The building suffered substantial damage to its external walls, partitions, and structural elements. To prevent collapse, emergency stabilization works were conducted, halting further deterioration of the structure.
«The building on Serednia is, without exaggeration, one of the most challenging projects. Thanks to our unity and timely funding, we managed to avoid an even greater tragedy», said Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
Currently, after completing all necessary procedures and the tender results, LLC «Stikon» has started restoration work on the site.
«Following the extensive restoration and cleanup efforts, a project was commissioned at the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture. The project was expertly reviewed, and restoration work has commenced», noted Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Department of Urban Economy of the Odesa City Council.
As of now, specialists are engaged in restoring the external structures of the building, internal walls, and partitions. Preparatory work has begun to reinforce the building and erect new structures.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025.
A total of 42 million UAH has been allocated from the city budget for the restoration of the damaged building, of which 7 million UAH is for addressing the aftermath of the attack, and 35 million UAH for restoration.
