International Cardiology Conference Held in Odessa
An important international meeting dedicated to cardiology was held in Odessa.
For two days, the city clinical hospital No. 10 hosted scientific presentations and discussions on significant topics related to the advancement of cardiology, including a master class based on real surgical interventions, as part of the conference titled «Current Issues in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases: A Multidisciplinary Approach».
Participants noted that this event is crucial for both experienced doctors and medical students.
Doctors from around the world were able to observe a surgery conducted by specialists from Lviv, interventional cardiologists Liliya Sorokhtey and Yuriy Melen.
During the surgery, Dr. Alfonso Ielasi from Galeazzi Hospital (Milan) joined the live broadcast and provided commentary.
The topics discussed are relevant not only for today but also for the future of medicine.
Participants in the conference included: interventional cardiologist Liliya Sorokhtey from the Ukrainian-Polish Heart Center «Lviv», Dr. Alfonso Ielasi from Galeazzi San-Ambroggio Hospital (Milan, Italy), Professor Olena Yakymenko, a distinguished scientist and technologist in Ukraine, and Dr. Denys Sebov, director of city clinical hospital No. 10.
