New Mental Health Center Opens in Odessa
In the city of Odessa, a new Mental Health Center has been established to offer accessible and quality assistance to its residents in the field of mental health.
This Center began its operations last year within the outpatient rehabilitation department of MCL No. 10, and since 2025 has functioned as a separate structural unit within the outpatient sector. Psychological support is a critical component of the rehabilitation programs at the hospital.
Assistance is provided by a multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist, psychophysiologist, psychotherapist, medical psychologist, and clinical psychologists.
When necessary, a healthcare chaplain and social worker are involved, allowing for a wide range of mental health support, crisis intervention, and psychosocial interventions.
The Center offers specialized counseling for patients, including veterans and individuals affected by the war, and conducts awareness campaigns regarding mental health while providing support to relatives.
Group and individual mental health activities, training for medical staff, and workshops on communication ethics and burnout prevention are organized at the Center.
The operations of the Mental Health Center at MCL No. 10 demonstrate a successful example of integrating various forms of assistance within the healthcare network.
Referrals to the Center are made by psychiatrists or family doctors.
Contact phone number for the Center: (048) 705 91 03.
