Vaccination Drive for Bakery Workers: A Step Towards Health Safety
This week, medical staff from the Primary Health Care Center No. 16 conducted vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus for employees of Odesa Bakery No. 4.
A total of 75 bakery workers received vaccinations to protect against these serious diseases.
The Odesa City Health Department continues its active efforts to provide additional vaccinations against whooping cough, diphtheria, and tetanus, as part of a plan initiated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to ensure epidemiological safety.
Currently, approximately 84% of children eligible for immunization according to the additional vaccination plan have been vaccinated. Vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus are essential not only for children but also for adults, who need to undergo revaccination every 10 years to maintain protection against these illnesses.
In wartime, the coverage of the population with preventive vaccinations to prevent the rapid spread of infectious diseases is a matter of national security and public health.
The City Health Department reminds the possibility of organizing free mobile vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus for organized groups.
Qualified medical personnel conduct the vaccinations, ensuring that all vaccines meet quality standards and are stored and transported under proper temperature conditions.
Any organizations interested in ensuring the health of their employees through mobile vaccinations against diphtheria and tetanus can fill out the registration form or contact the Health Department at dep.oz@omr.gov.ua or by phone: (048) 753 14 36, (048) 753 15 75.
