Achievements of the 'Odesa-Basket' Team at the Billiards Championship
The 'Odesa-Basket' sports club, led by Vasyl Rybak, participated in the Ukrainian billiards championship for individuals with disabilities, veterans of the armed forces, and their families.
The event took place from October 11 to 13, 2024, in Kyiv at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.
On the first day of the tournament, Serhii Kotsiuba, a veteran of the conflict, secured first place in the team standings.
The following day, he also won the championship title in sports billiards. The third position was shared by Odesa players Dmytro Danilov and Valerii Chuhuiev from the 'Odesa-Basket' team.
“The experience of the 'Odesa-Basket' club, supported by the local authorities, serves as a powerful example of rehabilitating veterans through adaptive sports,” emphasized Vasyl Rybak.

The Department of Health of the Odesa City Council has established a department to coordinate rehabilitation assistance. Leading rehabilitation specialist Vasyl Rybak personally holds weekly sessions for veterans and coordinates rehabilitation teams across the city.
