New Blood Donation Initiative in Odesa
Last week, the project «Donor Odesa» organized a blood donation event at the City Clinical Hospital No. 1. The blood collection was facilitated by a team from the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station.
Approximately 30 staff members and visitors of the hospital participated in this event as donors. The hospital has previously taken part in blood donation campaigns, including the city-wide event «Donate Blood — Save Lives» .
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the demand for donor blood has remained extremely high. Blood is crucial for saving injured defenders of Ukraine and other patients.
Any willing organization can arrange a mobile blood donation drive at their location. To do so, you need to:
1. Gather a group of 25-50 people willing to donate blood. Ensure that potential donors do not have absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions.
2. Coordinate a convenient date by calling 0668422387 or writing to Telegram @donorodesa.
3. The day before the blood donation, it is necessary to follow certain dietary restrictions and medication guidelines.

The project «Donor Odesa» has been assisting in finding blood donors for medical institutions since the early days of the full-scale war. Over 9000 donors have been engaged during this time.
