Enhanced Medical Services for Veterans in Odesa
The Primary Health Care Center No. 3 in Odesa has launched a new initiative aimed at providing a comprehensive range of medical services for war veterans, focusing on improving their health and quality of life.
This project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, significantly expands the available free medical services for veterans at the primary care level.
The services are centered around issues related to the aftermath of combat, offering psychological support, treatment guidance, and social assistance.
The program is available to combat veterans who have been discharged from military service, as well as individuals with disabilities resulting from the war.
What new services are available for veterans?
1. Individual treatment plans, examinations, and preventive check-ups tailored to health conditions.
2. Screening for conditions related to combat experiences, such as PTSD and chronic pain.
3. Expanded psychological support and psychotherapy services.
4. Referrals for consultations with psychiatrists or psychologists, including group therapy sessions.
5. Support for chronic conditions and treatment of combat injuries.
6. Diagnosis and treatment of vision and hearing impairments.
7. Individual rehabilitation plans for patients with post-traumatic conditions.
8. Prescription of medications for chronic pain management.
9. Monitoring for addiction issues.
10. Social worker consultations regarding available services for veterans.
To access these services, veterans must register with a family doctor and provide documentation confirming their veteran status.
