Revitalization of the Medical Center in Odesa
In the Kyiv district of Odesa, the first floor of Primary Health Care Center No. 4 has been renovated, featuring a reception area and lobby. Patients can now enjoy modern facilities.
The building on Levitan Street also houses Consultative Diagnostic Center No. 20, which offers a wide range of medical services to residents of the Kyiv district and all Odesa inhabitants.
Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov visited the facility to check compliance with modern accessibility standards. The reception area is designed for the comfort of wheelchair users, featuring Braille signs and inclusive restrooms.
Previously, the entrance to the medical facility was upgraded to ensure barrier-free access. A convenient ramp was installed in accordance with building standards and recommendations from organizations focused on supporting individuals with disabilities.
This year, a modern rehabilitation department has been opened and equipped at PHC Center No. 4. A multidisciplinary team, including rehabilitation physicians, physical therapists, and psychologists, provides care.
Since the opening of the rehabilitation department, 120 patients have undergone treatment. Services are provided free of charge under the state medical guarantee program.
The mayor also spoke with veterans receiving treatment at the center, who praised the high quality of rehabilitation services and the professionalism of the medical staff.
At PHC Center No. 4, there are also a Mental Health Center and an Integrated Support Center offering psychosocial assistance and legal consultations. Approximately 20,000 individuals have sought help, receiving nearly 55,000 services.
“We are creating modern conditions in the city’s medical facilities where patients feel comfortable and medical workers can perform effectively. Accessibility is our key strategy,” stated Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
