Innovative Rehabilitation Project in Odessa
In Odessa, a new rehabilitation project is being implemented based at City Hospital No. 5, which includes plans for the production of bionic prosthetics.
Representatives from the German organization Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe visited a separate building of the hospital, where all necessary resources for rehabilitation needs will be allocated.
«During the ongoing war, a German donor continues to support Odessa through the charity fund "Morning of Revival." Currently, Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe has come to offer assistance to veterans,» – said Veronica Etnarovich, advisor to the Mayor of Odessa.
The German partners highly appreciated the mayor's initiative and the scale of the upcoming work to establish a southern Ukrainian rehabilitation center.
The head of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe in Ukraine, Mr. Adam McKerrow, expressed his desire to collaborate on creating a bionic prosthetics production facility and to assist in training Ukrainian specialists in partnership with German prosthetists.
«A tender has already been held, and a project for the restoration of the rehabilitation center is underway. I am grateful to our German partners for this initiative and support. I hope that soon there will be a production of bionic prosthetics at our hospital,» – emphasized Levon Nikogosyan, head of the Department of Health.
