Ukrainian Paddlers Shine at the National Cup
The National Cup of Ukraine in paddling took place in Uman from April 23 to 27, 2025. Nearly 400 athletes from 20 regions of Ukraine participated in the event.
Representing Odessa was Albina Yakobchuk, an athlete from the Odessa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery “Olympian,” who previously trained at the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 6 in Odessa.
In the competition, Albina achieved the following rankings:
program C-4 500 m – 1st place,
program C-1 1000 m – 2nd place.
The athlete was trained by coaches Ilya Fedorenko, Oleg Zhylkin, and Mykola Kravchuk.
In total, 115 athletes are training in the canoeing and kayaking department of Sports School No. 6.
