Volleyball Tournament in Odesa: Results and Winners
The first round of the open volleyball tournament «Southern League» took place in Odesa, featuring girls' teams born in 2008 and 2010.
A total of 11 teams from Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih, and Zhytomyr participated in the competition. The tournament format includes 4 regular rounds and 1 final round.
The Odesa team «Lantana», representing the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 8, performed excellently among athletes born in 2008, winning all their matches while only losing two sets. The second place went to the team from Mykolaiv, while the bronze was claimed by the volleyball players from Kryvyi Rih.
In the competition for athletes born in 2010, the Odesa team «Dzhynestra» achieved a decisive victory. The team from Zhytomyr secured second place, while Mykolaiv came in third.
The «Dzhynestra» team consisted of athletes from the beach volleyball department.
