New Learning Opportunities for Children at Odesa Lyceums

As part of the initiative «Creation of Digital Educational Centers DLS and Provision of Psychosocial Support for Children and Youth», Digital Educational Centers DLS No. 27 and No. 28 have been opened at Odesa Lyceums No. 9 and No. 65 respectively.

The centers offer various educational activities for children:

- taking tests to assess knowledge levels in school subjects using artificial intelligence;

- addressing learning gaps during group sessions in subjects such as mathematics, history, languages, physics, biology, and chemistry;

- opportunities to play board games, enjoy the educational game «Minecraft», watch movies, and socialize with peers in an informal setting;

- specialists at the centers will conduct «Life Lessons» – training on digital literacy, cybersecurity, psychological resilience, communication skills, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship;

- professional psychologists will provide emotional support in individual and group sessions;

- during career orientation testing, children will learn about their intelligence type and receive recommendations on primary and additional professions, take an online tour of a leading Ukrainian enterprise to understand the manufacturer and working conditions;

- educational and developmental activities, workshops, training sessions, festivals, and flash mobs.

The centers will operate during vacations and will regularly conduct classes to address educational losses.

The main goal of the Digital Educational Centers (DLC) is to ensure continuous learning for children and adolescents, recover educational losses, provide opportunities for participation in informal education, emotional support for children, their parents and teachers, and enhance teachers' professional competencies. All activities are related to the implementation of modern digital technologies.

The project is being implemented by the Association of Innovative and Digital Education in collaboration with UNICEF, supported by the government of Japan.
