Taekwondo: New Achievements of Odesa Athletes at the National Tournament

From November 1 to 3, the village of Kolodenka (Rivne region) hosted the Ukrainian championship and the open national tournament class A «Children of Ukraine XXV» in taekwondo (WTF).

These competitions served as qualifiers for the European Championship, which will take place in two weeks in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

A total of 140 athletes participated in the Ukrainian championship, while 465 taekwondo practitioners competed for medals across the country.

The athletes from Odesa performed exceptionally well, bringing home 6 medals from the national championship.

Champions included Renata Podolyán and Maria Labuzova from the «Olympian» high sports school. Bronze medals were won by Alexander Labuzov, Olga Schwartz, Viktor Semanyuk, and Yuliya Gamurar from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 17.

Odesa juniors and cadets also achieved significant results at the open national tournament class A «Children of Ukraine XXV», winning 8 medals.

The tournament winners were Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk. Bronze medals went to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yremenko.

The athletes were trained by coaches Yuliya Podolyán and Viktor Semanyuk.

In Odesa, 178 athletes practice taekwondo (WTF) at Children and Youth Sports Schools No. 17 and No. 7.
