New School Meal System Launched in Odesa
A new hot meal system has started in two districts of Odesa for students in grades 1-4. Meanwhile, two other districts are finalizing their procurement tenders.
Today, on November 14, Odesa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov checked the meal organization and spoke with students and parents at one of the largest schools in the Kyiv district.
The mayor also participated in a school training exercise conducted during air raid alerts. Recently, work was completed to expand the shelter in the school.
"Every day, nearly 2000 children study here, attending classes in shifts to meet safety requirements. Previously, the school's shelter could accommodate only 250 people, which was insufficient for such a facility. A decision was made to expand it, and today it can hold twice as many people", - concluded Odesa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
