Odesa Gymnasts Shine at Ukrainian Championships
The gymnasts from Odesa achieved remarkable success at the recent competitions in Ukraine. On October 31, the Ukrainian championship for youth and the Ukrainian cup for adults in sports acrobatics concluded in Vinnytsia. Teams from eight regions and the capital participated in the events.
Odesa was represented by talented athletes from the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports Schools No. 1 and No. 3.
The women’s group, consisting of Sofiya Puzdrach, Anna Lutsker, and Alina Fesyk, secured 3rd place in the all-around category for ages 10-16 (CMSU) and became bronze medalists of the championship.
The pair of Maria Dukhnevič and Kateryna Savchuk just missed the podium, finishing in 4th place in balance and dynamics at the Ukrainian cup among adults.
The athletes were coached by Oksana Kopecka and Tamara Zahrebelyna.
