Educating for Safety: Mine Awareness Seminar in Odesa
On August 20, 2025, instructors from the Public Organization «Ukrainian Sappers Association» conducted training seminars for educators and children at Odesa's preschool institutions No. 137 and 300, focusing on mitigating risks from mines and explosive devices.
The aim of the event was to enhance the safety level of children and adults, to cultivate safe behaviors to prevent threats from mines and explosive devices, and to outline actions to take during shelling.
The Public Organization «Ukrainian Sappers Association» implements humanitarian projects in the field of mine action, particularly educating the public on risks associated with mines and explosive devices. The organization is executing a project titled "Capacity Building in Ukraine, including non-technical survey of areas and risk mitigation from explosive devices” in partnership with The Mines Advisory Group (MAG), funded by the UK Foreign Office.
