Youth Shooting Championship Held in Vinnytsia
From August 10 to 17, the Youth Shooting Championship of Ukraine was held in Vinnytsia for athletes born in 2002 and younger.
Representing the Odesa region were athletes from the Complex Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3 and the Regional Shooting Sports School.
In the men's 50-meter prone small-bore rifle event, the Ukrainian champion was Ivan Tkalenko (Regional Shooting Sports School), while Ilya Ananyev (Children's Sports School No. 3) took home the bronze.
In the MG-5 event (shooting from three positions), Ivan Tkalenko earned a silver medal, and the team consisting of Ivan Tkalenko, Danila Ananyev, and Yegor Mosuzenko secured bronze medals.
In the women's 50-meter prone small-bore rifle competition, the Odesa team, including Ksenia Gerasymova (Children's Sports School No. 3), Olga Rudik, and Kateryna Nikonenko (Regional Shooting Sports School), also won bronze medals.
The athletes were coached by trainers Olga Chikalova (Children's Sports School No. 3) and Svitlana Skachko (Regional Shooting Sports School).
