Odesa Rowers Achieve Success at Ukrainian Championship
Rowers from Odesa secured 6 medals at the Ukrainian championship in rowing.
From July 16 to 20, the personal Ukrainian championship in kayaking and canoeing took place in Uman (Cherkasy region), serving as a qualifying event for the world championship.
Albina Yakobchuk, a student of KDYUSSH No. 6 who continues to enhance her athletic skills at the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery "Olympiets," earned 4 medals.
In the mixed quadruple event over 500 meters, she became the Ukrainian champion, while finishing third in the 1000 meters (C-1), 500 meters (C-2), and 200 meters (C-2).
Vadim Boychuk, a student of the Odesa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery "Olympiets," won a silver medal in the 1000 meters (K-2) and secured a bronze medal in the quadruple event over 200 meters.
The athletes were trained by coaches Oleg Zhylkin and Mykola Kravchuk.
