Odesa Grand Prix: A Celebration of Cycling and Competitors
On August 31, Odesa hosted the grand cycling event known as the Odesa Grand Prix. This race has become a significant part of the city's legacy.
This year, the Odesa Grand Prix attracted cycling enthusiasts from various regions, including Mykolaiv, Lviv, Zaporizhia, and the Republic of Moldova.
On the second day of competition, the Odesa sprint championship took place, known for its fierce contests among participants.
Among the winners in different age categories were local athletes: Oleg Ivankov (Atlet CG), Andriy Pyrkh, Yuriy Anderson, Yuriy Smirnov, Andriy Hladkyi, Andriy Shvets, Serhiy Lychko, Hryhoriy Bayrak, Mykola Vakhrameyev, Vladislav Salnikov, Yuriy Smirnov (Project 13), and Hryhoriy Savenko.

The Odesa Grand Prix was first held in 1995 under a cup system. In 2007, it became a national event, and from 2015 to 2019, the cycling competition was recognized as an international event of the second category by UCI.
