Ukrainian Athletes Shine at World Muay Thai Championship
The World Muay Thai Championship has concluded in Turkey, featuring competitions in the Wai Kru and Muan Muay categories.
Ukraine was represented in the finals by Irina Ladynenko, a coach from the Odesa Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 7.
Irina performed exceptionally well, surpassing all her opponents to secure first place and earning a license to participate in the upcoming European Games.
Additionally, Irina Ladynenko claimed a bronze medal in the S Female Wai Kru category.
Bronze was also won by Valeriy Denisov, a student from Odesa Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 16 (Wai Kru category, youth). The athlete was trained by coach Pavlo Yevtushenko.
In the team standings, the national team of Ukraine achieved second place, winning 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
