Implementation of the Digital Platform 'Dream' in the Odessa Education System

Odessa region adopts the new platform 'Dream'

According to Oleksandr Lonchak, the implementation of the 'Dream' platform represents a significant step towards modernizing the education system, making it more transparent and convenient for all participants in the learning process, including students, teachers, and parents.

A final presentation of the 'Dream' application was recently held for school directors in the Odessa region.

Starting in September, all educational institutions in the region will transition to the 'Dream' digital platform, he noted. “This will create a unified electronic space for all participants in the learning process.”

What is 'Dream'?

'Dream' is a free digital platform that integrates all key aspects of school life: schedules, grades, homework, chats, achievement analytics, a library of educational materials, and tools for teachers and parents. It has been developed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education with support from the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program.

The platform includes:

  • electronic journals;
  • schedules;
  • feedback systems;
  • libraries of materials for students and teachers;
  • other tools for organizing learning and communication.

Benefits of the 'Dream' Platform

For Students: The platform offers personalized learning options, a motivation system through an internal currency called 'Dreams', which can be exchanged for real rewards, and access to extracurricular activities. Students will receive electronic textbooks, individual recommendations and assignments, and can watch educational videos.

For Teachers: 'Dream' automates routine tasks, allows for schedule creation, homework checking (including automatic), maintains electronic journals, and facilitates communication with students and parents through secure chats. It has a large database of ready-made tests, lessons, presentations, educational materials, and methodological guides.

For Parents: The platform provides transparent access to their children's academic achievements, simplifies communication with educators, and assists in choosing extracurricular clubs.

Preparation for State Examinations: The platform contains special modules for preparing for state certification, including tests and error analysis.

Currently, preparations for its implementation are ongoing, including training educators and technical connections of schools.

By the end of 2025, 'Dream' aims to cover all educational institutions in Ukraine, creating a unified, convenient, and accessible educational environment.
