Open Climbing Championship in Odesa: Results and Winners
On January 25, 2025, the Open Bouldering Championship took place in Odesa, showcasing young athletes.
A total of 72 competitors participated: 40 boys and 32 girls.
The athletes represented specialized children's sports schools, climbing clubs, and private lyceums.
In the 2010-2011 age category, the top spots were taken by Yuliya Karaban and Timur Gladkykh, with Varvara Nimenko and Artem Mykhailov in second, and Kostyantyn Ivanov in third.
Among athletes born in 2012-2013, the winners were Vira Hutsol and Hryhorii Chaplia, followed by Melania Bodnar and Hai Sukhanov in second, and Veronika Chernienko with Mark Barzikov in third.
In the 2014-2015 category, gold medals went to Maria Kateryva and Yehor Fal'ko, silver to Kateryna Yatsenuk and Yaromyr Shvydkyi, and bronze to Serafim Koroev and Oleksandr Nedoluzhenko.
In the 2016-2017 age group, Ksenia Tsyrulnykova and Mykhailo Baranov took the victory, with Daria Rembovska and David Dolhykh in second, and Anna Anfinogenova and Matviy Lypovskyi in third.
The youngest participants born in 2018-2019 competed for the open cup, with Teona Pashaieva and Dmytro Shymkov winning, followed by Sofia Nazarova and Mykyta Shvydkyi in silver, and Maiya Shcherbina with Yan Krasnoslobodtsev in bronze.
The training of the medalists was led by coaches including Svitlana Svytychna, Viktor Remnev, and others.
