National Folk Instrument Competition in Odesa
From April 14 to 16, 2025, the All-Ukrainian competition for folk instrument performers titled 'Rainbow Colors' took place at the Odesa School of Arts No. 1.
The event featured 111 talented participants, including children and youth from various art educational institutions across Ukraine: 77 soloists and 8 ensembles.
The participants hailed from diverse locations such as Odesa, Chornomorsk, Izmail, Tatarbunary, Pechenizyn, Lokachi, Cherkasy, Horodnia, Chernihiv, Smila, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Sloboda, Lutsk, and Kharkiv.
On April 16, a gala concert and an awards ceremony for the winners of the 'Rainbow Colors' competition were held.
The laureates received certificates and participated in the concert.
As part of the competition, there were a master class and a chamber concert by the People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Murza from the Odesa National Music Academy, and a creative meeting with Nina Morozevych, the founder of the bandura class at the academy.
A presentation on 'Video Sequence in the Concert Performance of a Modern Guitarist' was also conducted (speaker – Ivan Kosenets, Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor).
