Cultural Workers' Day and New Collaborative Initiatives
On November 9, Ukraine celebrated Cultural Workers' Day and folk art.
In a positive development, an agreement has been reached for collaboration between Odesa libraries and the library system of Regensburg.
“This library project aims to establish foreign literature halls in Odesa libraries, showcasing the cultural heritage of our sister cities. The Regensburg library will serve as the first pilot project,” stated Ivan Liptuga, Director of the Department of Culture.
Next year, one of the Odesa libraries will feature a hall dedicated to German literature, highlighting the history of Regensburg.
The sister city of Regensburg will assist in organizing and enriching the hall, facilitating joint events and publishing interesting works by German authors.
A similar cultural corner will also be established in the libraries of Regensburg, focusing on Odesa's cultural contributions.
