A jury will select winners and the best works for publication in the final almanac. Winners will receive cash prizes and invitations to the festival's gala concert.

This competition aims to help children unlock their creative potential in poetry and integrate them into the literary community of Odessa and Ukraine. During the festival, there will also be workshops and meetings with renowned writers.

Participation in the festival is free of charge.

A press conference will take place on October 18, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the children’s library No. 26, located at: K. Muratova St. (L. Tolstoy), 13.

The project is initiated by poet Ilya Kaminsky (USA) with the support of "Odessa – City of Literature UNESCO", the Children’s Library of Odessa, the Children’s Literature Section of the Odessa Organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, and the newspaper "Evening Odessa". The event is supported by the Culture Department of the Odessa City Council.

......

The main goal of the "Creative Horizons" festival is to identify and encourage poetically gifted students who can share sincere and inspiring thoughts with readers.

Written thoughts help individuals feel relief and overcome anxieties and depression. This is particularly vital as Ukrainian children endure the horrors of war.

The long-term goal of the festival's organizing committee is to contribute to the formation of a talented and kind generation that perceives the world through poetry.
