Anniversary Exhibition of Ukrainian Books in Odesa
From June 6 to 8, Odesa will host the XXV anniversary exhibition «Ukrainian Book in Odesa» as part of the «Intellect Forum — 2025».
During the event, there will be a range of activities, including professional discussions about publishing in wartime, presentations of new Ukrainian editions, book signing sessions, public interviews, and creative workshops. Additionally, the exhibition will serve as a platform for charity initiatives collecting books to replenish libraries in Odesa, facilitating dialogue between professionals and the public, and promoting reading.
The program includes a traveling Ukrainian Book Festival in Balta, the traditional «Best Book of the Exhibition» contest, and events dedicated to the Odesa literary school. Together with the Odesa Regional Center for Ukrainian Culture and the «Ukrainian Club of Odesa», there will be a space to explore elements of Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage.
Among the invited guests are Andriy Kurkov, Liubov Yakymchuk, Andriy Kokotukha, Valeriy Puzik, Taras Fedyuk, and others.
The event is organized by the Odesa National Scientific Library in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association of Publishers, the Book Chamber of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, and the Odesa Regional State Administration. The project is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Book Institute and local authorities.
