Meeting on Accessibility in Odesa
An important meeting took place in Odesa between the local government and the team of the «Partnership for a Strong Ukraine» (PFRU) program, focusing on issues of accessibility and inclusivity for all residents of the city.
During the dialogue, key strategic projects currently being implemented in Odesa were discussed:
- the creation of an accessible route «East - West» as part of the National Accessibility Strategy;
- the development of rehabilitation services;
- comprehensive support for military personnel and their families;
- conducting lessons on accessibility in educational institutions;
- shaping a comfortable urban environment for everyone.
«I want to express my gratitude to the director of the «Resilient Population» project, Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, and his team for their support and willingness to assist Odesa and its residents», said Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vuhelman.

PFRU is a multilateral donor initiative funded by the British Embassy Kyiv, Estonian Embassy in Kyiv, Embassy of Canada to Ukraine, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kyiv, Embassy of Finland in Kyiv, Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine, and Embassy of Sweden in Kyiv.
The aim of the «Resilient Population» project is to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian society by creating an inclusive environment for the socio-economic integration of vulnerable groups, including veterans, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, the elderly, and youth.
