Cultural Renaissance at the Black Sea Steppe Festival in Odesa
From September 5 to 7, Odesa hosted the annual ethnofestival «Black Sea Steppe», gathering artisans from all over Ukraine.
During these days, Odesa transformed into a space for dialogue and social cohesion, serving as a platform for experience exchange and promoting Ukrainian culture.
On September 5, master kobzars enchanted guests with the unique sounds of bandura, kobza, and lyre, while the film «The Guide» delved into the grand history of Ukrainian kobzars.
On September 6, the Shevchenko Park hosted a Cultural Fair where over 300 participants showcased their crafts, community initiatives, book locations, historical reconstructions, gastronomy, and art. The «Shell» area resonated with music, culminating in a patriotic concert by the band Kozak System.
On September 7, in celebration of International Literacy Day, participants engaged in workshops and contests, solving puzzles and answering quiz questions. A festive concert was also held.
Local extracurricular education institutions actively participated in the festival, with club leaders presenting vibrant workshops for young visitors and their parents. Guests received informational brochures and engaging presentations about creativity and education.
The grand finale of the «Black Sea Steppe» activities was the energetic rock festival MoreMusicFes, which charged the audience with energy and good spirits.
The festival was organized by the municipal enterprise «Parks of Odesa» and the NGO «Tenth of April» with the support of the Odesa City Council, UNHCR Ukraine, the SeaSters team, MoreMusicClub, and the Department of Culture, Nationalities, Religions, and Cultural Heritage of the ODA.
