Spirit of Victory: Ukrainian Veterans at the Venice Regatta
For the first time in the history of the legendary regatta in Venice, a Ukrainian veterans' crew from Odesa took to the waters of the Grand Canal.
Our brave men, who have faced the front and suffered injuries, participated in the race on the famous yacht to showcase the spirit and resilience of Ukrainian soldiers.
Amidst the colorful boats, historical costumes, gondoliers, and thousands of spectators from around the world, the proud chant of «Glory to Ukraine!» resounded, with Ukrainian flags waving in the breeze. This symbolizes that even after hardships, Ukrainians possess the strength to conquer - both in war and in life.

The Historical Regatta is not merely a sporting competition but a cultural event with over 700 years of tradition, attracting numerous spectators. The participation of our veterans in Venice was made possible by the support of Venice's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, and the local community.
