Honoring Heroes of Ukraine: Commemorative Ceremony
Today, at the memorial "Defenders of Ukraine", a solemn ceremony took place to honor the memory of fallen defenders, known as the "Bell of Remembrance". This event is dedicated to the residents of the region who lost their lives in July over the past 11 years of war.
The event was organized by Veterans HUB ODESA, the NGO "Hearts of Mothers of Odesa", and the "Family of Angels of Light". The State Anthem of Ukraine was performed by the creative team from the Avant-Garde Cultural Center.
Families of the fallen, veterans, members of the special forces unit “Magura”, the Council of Churches and religious organizations of Odesa region, the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, the NGO "LEGION 12", the security and defense forces of Southern Ukraine, representatives of the Odesa City Council, Odesa Military Academy, ODUVS, the representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for human rights in Odesa region Maria Popova, and others were also present.
The ceremony was conducted by Mykola Storozhuk, deputy head of Veterans HUB ODESA.
