Festival in the Carpathians
From July 2 to 8, 2025, the picturesque heart of the Carpathians, Bukovel, hosted a grand arts festival named OKSAMYT WONDERLAND-BUKOVEL.
Among the 300 competitors, the folk art collective, the choreographic ensemble "Carnival" from the Odessa Center for Children's and Youth Creativity "Moryana," notably won the Grand Prix of the festival.
Additionally, the Odessa team added three first places and one second place in various nominations to their achievements, showcasing their exceptional talent.
The performance "Stolen Childhood" impressed the jury and audience with its emotional depth and powerful message, becoming a symbolic voice for the generation yearning for peace and justice.
Besides the competition, a diverse entertainment program was prepared for the children: they climbed the highest mountain in Ukraine – Hoverla, visited many picturesque spots in Ivano-Frankivsk region, participated in themed parties, workshops, learned swimming skills in the pool, and interacted with peers from other cities.
The ensemble "Carnival" is a collaborative project between the center "Moryana" and Odessa Lyceum No. 16, where this group operates, led by the talented choreographer Vitaliy Kuznetsov.
