Animal Love Festival at "Kovcheg-Odessa" Shelter
The charitable organizations "Happy Paw" and "Kovcheg-Odessa" invite everyone to an open house event on May 4th. The main goal of the event is to raise awareness about the importance of adopting animals from shelters so that homeless cats and dogs can find new homes.
Currently, the "Kovcheg-Odessa" shelter is home to over 800 animals. Organizers emphasize that each new animal adds extra pressure on the staff and other residents due to the risk of illness and resource shortages.
"The open house day is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to spend time together, especially for those dreaming of a pet but unsure where to start. ... You can help homeless animals not only financially but also by dedicating your time, effort, and attention," the organizers state.
During the event, there will be a shelter tour, training on interaction rules, stories about the local cats and dogs, and "cat-dog therapy". Everyone interested can assist the shelter by participating in cleaning, feeding, walking dogs, and playing with cats.
The open house will take place on May 4th at 12:00 at the address: 1st Sorting St., 22.
