Putin's New Peace Proposal
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has announced a “ceasefire” in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
The “ceasefire” will be in effect from 00:00 on May 8 to 00:00 on May 11, according to the Russian state news agency TASS.
Putin stated that the Ukrainian side “should also follow this example.”
He added that “if the ceasefire is violated by Ukraine, Russian forces will respond appropriately and effectively.”
