Military and Volunteers Unite for Blood Donation
The volunteer project «Donor Odessa» has welcomed the participation of military personnel from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine's Maritime Guard, who collectively donated blood.
The joint efforts of the maritime border guards and volunteers will save numerous lives. This is especially critical during wartime when the demand for blood donations remains exceedingly high.
«We understand how essential it is to maintain blood reserves. In wartime, this is an invaluable resource that can save the lives of our comrades, civilians, and every Ukrainian in need of urgent medical assistance,» say the border guards who contributed to replenishing the city's blood bank.
This is not the first involvement of the maritime border guards in such initiatives; they believe that assistance should be ongoing, not just a one-time effort.
Today, blood donation represents yet another line of defense for Ukraine.
The event took place as part of the city’s charitable initiative «Weeks of Good Deeds».

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the «Donor Odessa» project has been instrumental in attracting blood donors for the city's medical facilities and conducting educational and cultural events aimed at promoting donation. During this time, over 12,000 blood donations have been made, saving thousands of lives.
