Launch of the New Coin Honoring Lyubov Panchenko
On April 15, coinciding with the World Art Day, a significant event took place – the launch of a new commemorative coin titled «The World of Couture Art. Lyubov Panchenko», dedicated to the remarkable Ukrainian artist and designer.
The National Bank of Ukraine announced this.
The coin has a denomination of 10 hryvnias, made of 925 silver, weighing 31.1 g, and measuring 38.6 mm in diameter. Its edge is smooth, featuring recessed inscriptions denoting the metal and its purity.
The obverse of the coin displays a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko surrounded by elements from her famous work «Buchanskaya Vesna».
The artist's gaze, filled with creative energy, symbolizes her deep connection to her homeland and dedication to her art. «Buchanskaya Vesna» has become a symbol of beauty and resilience, as it is where she was born.
The artist is Andriy Sahach, and the sculptor is Volodymyr Demyanenko.
