Enhancing Educational Environments in Odesa Region
The Odesa region is advancing in implementing new educational standards: preparations for specialized schools are ongoing.
The Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Anton Shalyhaiilo, and the Director of the Department of Education and Science, Oleksandr Lonchak, participated in discussions on innovative approaches to organizing educational spaces, held in Kyiv with the involvement of government representatives and educational institutions.
This event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as part of the reform of specialized senior schools, aimed at discussing further collaboration on creating modern classrooms, laboratories, and workshops in general and vocational education institutions ahead of the new academic year, funded by state and local budgets.
The government has allocated nearly UAH 500 million for the modernization of specialized school classrooms. A call for project proposals has been announced for obtaining funding in 2025 to create a contemporary educational environment.
Well-equipped classrooms will facilitate the successful implementation of the senior school reform, allowing students to choose their study profiles and courses according to their interests and future aspirations starting in 2027.
