Fatal Collision on Odesa-Reni Highway
Today, April 8, around 9:00 AM, a tragic traffic accident happened on the Odesa-Reni highway near the village of Sarata in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Police. Preliminary information indicates that a 47-year-old woman from the Plakhtiyivka community, driving a Chevrolet sedan towards Sarata, crossed into the oncoming lane, where her vehicle collided with a Mercedes truck with a semi-trailer heading towards Odesa. The driver of the sedan was hospitalized, but unfortunately, she died from her injuries. The truck driver, a 51-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district, will be tested for intoxication. An investigative team and patrol police officers are working at the scene. Legal qualifications will be determined after the circumstances are established.
