Beware: New Scams on Telegram
Scammers are using fake videos in the Telegram messenger to swindle money or spread phishing links.

Details: The agency explained how the criminals operate:
- First, they hack the account and download the user's video message;
- Then they create a fake monologue where the hacked user supposedly requests money;
- They send the counterfeit video to the user's friends and acquaintances.
To avoid being scammed, law enforcement advises verifying information when receiving a suspicious video. It is recommended to contact the acquaintance via another messenger or make a phone call. Additionally, enabling two-factor authentication is crucial for account protection.
