Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Risks Increase During Heating Season

As the heating season begins, there has been a rise in cases of carbon monoxide poisoning in Odesa.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Odesa, a man born in 1980 and a teenager born in 2011 were hospitalized in the village of Plakhtiyivka, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, showing signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. However, no fire or burning was detected in the house. The cause of the poisoning was a leak of carbon monoxide due to a lack of draft in the heating stove. Therefore, experts urge residents to closely monitor the condition of their heating systems.
