New Logistics Corridor Established between Ukraine and Turkey
Polish logistics provider Laude Smart Intermodal has introduced a new route connecting the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk with Turkey. This new corridor integrates maritime and rail transport, significantly speeding up cargo deliveries to EU countries and the Black Sea region.
According to Nakolei, shipments begin at the Chornomorsk port in the Odesa region. After being transported by sea to the Turkish port of Aliaga, the cargo continues by rail to Poland.
The first train, consisting of 50 containers from Laude Smart Intermodal, departed on November 5. Ukrainian operators, including subsidiaries of Ukrzaliznytsia, are involved in establishing this new route.
The company reports that the entire journey from Turkey to the Polish terminal in Zamosc takes about 10 days. This greatly enhances logistics between Ukraine, Poland, and Turkey.
Laude emphasizes that the launch of the route through Chornomorsk provides Ukrainian exporters with an additional stable channel for exporting goods and strengthens transportation links between Ukraine, the EU, and Black Sea countries.
The company is also considering the possibility of extending the route towards Georgia and Azerbaijan.
