Restoration of the "Heroes Memorial" channel on YouTube

YouTube has restored access to the "Memorial of Heroes" channel after it was blocked due to numerous complaints from Russian users. This information was reported by co-founder Gayane Avakyan via the Institute of Mass Information.
Avakyan expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the campaign and shared information about the blockage.
According to her, the team actively informed about the situation and reached out to relevant authorities and organizations that sent their requests to the platform.
“The unblocking was facilitated by Google Ukraine's general manager, Tetyana Lukinyuk, who responded to our request. We hope there will be no more similar incidents,” the co-founder emphasized.
The "Memorial of Heroes" channel features 18 documentary films available to the public, including films about fallen heroes and the Russian missile attack on Dnipro that killed 52 residents of the "Victory, 118" building, as well as nearly 100 memorial videos with biographies and memories of fallen soldiers.
The Russian government has authorized Roskomnadzor, starting March 1, 2026, to block any websites and disconnect the Russian segment of the internet from the global network, particularly in cases of "spreading prohibited content."
